The KaseMe MagSafe Ring is a thin magnetic ring that installs inside any phone case and instantly makes it compatible with the entire MagSafe ecosystem, wireless charging, magnetic mounts, wallets, battery packs and more. If you have a case you love but it didn’t come with MagSafe built in, the ring is the upgrade you’ve been missing.

Installation is done once and lasts the life of the case. The ring is placed inside the case using an intuitive alignment guide that takes the guesswork out of positioning; precise placement matters for full magnetic strength, and the guide makes sure you get it right. An installation video link is sent with your purchase to walk you through the process step by step.

Once installed, the ring works like any built-in MagSafe case: place your phone near a MagSafe charger and it snaps into alignment automatically. Attach a KaseMe ChargePod, an AirGrip, a MagSafe wallet or any other MagSafe-compatible accessory and it holds securely.

This product is single-use: once applied, it cannot be removed and reapplied. Please review the installation instructions carefully before applying.

Installation

An installation video link is included with your purchase and sent to your inbox. We strongly recommend watching it before applying the ring; precise alignment is the key to full magnetic performance, and getting it right the first time means the ring works optimally for the life of your case.

Overview of the installation process:

  • Remove your phone from the case and separate the case into its two parts: the flexible inner layer and the rigid outer shell.
  • Place the flexible inner layer onto your phone. Then position the MagSafe ring on the back of the flexible layer. The ring will naturally align with your phone’s built-in magnets when it reaches the correct position, helping ensure accurate placement.
  • Once the ring is properly aligned, carefully peel away the blue protective film from the adhesive side, taking care not to move the ring during this step.
  • With the adhesive exposed, install the rigid outer shell over the flexible layer. As the two case components come together, the shell will secure the ring in place.
  • Apply firm pressure to the center of the ring for several seconds to ensure a strong bond.
  • Your MagSafe ring is now installed and ready to use with MagSafe chargers and accessories.

Important: The ring is installed on the inside of the case. Once applied, it cannot be removed or repositioned. Correct placement on the first try is essential.

What is a MagSafe ring and what does it do?

A MagSafe ring is a thin magnetic ring that sticks inside any phone case and makes it compatible with the MagSafe ecosystem. MagSafe is Apple’s magnetic alignment system built into iPhones 12 and later, but many cases, especially non-Apple ones, don’t include it natively. The KaseMe MagSafe Ring closes that gap: install it once inside your case and your phone gains instant access to wireless MagSafe charging and the full range of MagSafe-compatible accessories, including our ChargePod wireless power bank, our AirGrip surface mount, MagSafe wallets, car mounts, chargers and any other MagSafe-certified accessory from any brand.

Is the MagSafe ring permanent once installed?

Yes. The ring is applied to the inside of the case using a pressure-sensitive adhesive that creates a permanent bond. Once installed, it cannot be removed or repositioned, which is exactly why the alignment guide is so important. Take your time with placement before the adhesive makes contact, follow the installation video, and the ring will stay in the right position for the full life of your case. If you replace your case, you’ll need a new ring for the new case.

How strong is the magnet?

The ring provides strong magnetic force that is sufficient for reliable alignment with MagSafe chargers and MagSafe accessories during everyday use. One important thing to know: because the ring is installed on the inside of the case rather than integrated into the case structure itself, the magnetic strength is slightly less than what you’d get with a fully native MagSafe case. For the vast majority of uses; wireless charging, snapping on a ChargePod, using a car mount or an AirGrip, the hold is solid and reliable. For very heavy accessories or extreme physical loads, a native MagSafe case will always outperform a retrofitted ring.

Will my accessories stay securely attached?

Yes, for all standard MagSafe accessories under normal daily use. A MagSafe charger aligns and holds cleanly. A ChargePod or AirGrip snaps on and stays. A MagSafe wallet sits firmly in place. The connection is secure enough for everyday carry and movement. The ring is designed so the magnetic snap is immediate and the hold is confident. For accessories that are very heavy or that would put significant lateral force on the connection, we recommend checking the accessory’s own specifications for magnetic hold requirements.

How do I install the MagSafe ring?

An installation video is included with your purchase and sent to your inbox automatically. We strongly recommend watching it before you begin. In short: remove your phone from the case and separate the two case components, place the flexible layer on your phone, position the MagSafe ring until it naturally aligns with your phone’s magnets, remove the blue protective film without shifting the ring, then reassemble the case and press firmly at the center to secure the adhesive. Does the ring add bulk to the case?

No. The MagSafe ring is ultra-thin and sits flat inside the case against the interior lining. It adds no noticeable thickness to the back of your phone, no extra height at the edges and no change to how the case feels in your hand or in your pocket. Once your phone is back in the case, you won’t be able to feel the ring is there. The only difference you’ll notice is the magnetic snap when a MagSafe accessory connects.

Is it only for iPhone?

No. While MagSafe was created by Apple and is built into iPhones 12 and later, the KaseMe MagSafe Ring can be applied to any phone case for any device; Android, Samsung, Google Pixel and more. Once the ring is installed inside the case, the phone gains magnetic compatibility with MagSafe-certified accessories regardless of what phone it is. The ring works with any smooth, flat case interior, on any device. The only consideration is alignment: for non-iPhone devices, the ring position should be centred on the back of the case where the phone naturally sits.
